Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss broke a bone in his left hand during Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers and it looks like he could miss upwards of three to four weeks with the injury. There will be no concerns about game-time decisions this coming week as Mike Shanahan has already declared Moss out for the game.
Santana Moss Injury Update: Redskins WR Likely Out 3-4 Weeks With Broken Hand
Moss leads the team in receptions through seven weeks and will be a big absence for quarterback John Beck when the Redskins head to Buffalo. In Moss' absence, there are a variety of receivers who could step up, but more than likely Fred Davis and Jabar Gaffney will be the primary fantasy beneficiaries of this injury. Guys like Anthony Armstrong and Donte' Stallworth will benefit to some extent, but they are not at the level where you would add them to your fantasy roster.
When you factor in the loss of Tim Hightower as well, this causes some big problems for the Redskins offense. Fred Davis has been the leading receiver in recent weeks, but it will be tough to get as many catches with defenders not having to focus on a Santana Moss. Nonetheless, if you have Davis on your bench, I'd strongly recommend getting him into your lineup. He will see plenty of targets.
