Week 8 Bye Teams: Atlanta, Chicago, Green Bay, Oakland, New York Jets, Tampa Bay
Fantasy Football Week 8 Wide Receiver Projections: Megatron, Welker Continue To Shine
Still dealing with bye weeks and injuries, fantasy owners are scrambling to fill the gaps. We look at Week 8 player projections to help with the decisions.
Rosters that depend on the Packers passing game each week are in need of some replacement help as Green Bay hits their bye week. Which wide receivers project well for Week 8?
Our partner, numberfire.com, has provided us with projections for 30 top-rated wide receivers in Week 8. They determine their projections by feeding the stats and matchups into the computer, and the computer responds with its best estimate.
These projections are live and may change before Sunday’s action. Come back over the next few days until game time to see where your players stand.
At the top of the charts are the yin and yang of receivers, the monstrous Calvin Johnson and the diminutive Wes Welker. Mike Wallace in Pittsburgh has been doing work all year, helping his quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the process.
How about some newer names that could pay off in Week 8? Davone Bess in Miami saw plenty of targets last week and Greg Little is starting to make some noise in Cleveland.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
Injured players appear on the list, this is their projection IF they play.
