49ers, Bengals And Giants Should Be On Upset Alert In NFL Week 16
The 49ers, Bengals and the Giants should be on upset alert in Week 16 of the 2011 NFL season.

Here are the three teams that I think should be on upset alert in Week 16 of the 2011 NFL season.
Where: Seattle, Washington
Spread: 49ers by three
Why: The 49ers have already locked their trip to the playoffs. There's still home-field advantage to play for and they'll get a first-round bye if they win out. However, this weekend they'll be tested in Seattle where they play a surging Seahawks team that suddenly finds itself in the hunt for a wildcard spot. A team that's in the hunt is always more dangerous than a team that already has a spot secured in the post season. Also, Seattle is a very tough place to play. This will likely be a close game and the 49ers are going to be tough to score on, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Seahawks come out on top in Week 16.
Where: Cincinnati, Ohio
Spread: Bengals by four
Why: The Bengals need to win this game to have a shot at the playoffs and they've been surprisingly good in 2011, but they've also lost four of the last six games they've played. The Cardinals, on the other hand, have won six of the last seven. This will be a very close game, but if the Bengals aren't on top of their game, they could watch their playoff hopes disappear at the hands of the Cardinals.
Where: East Rutherford, New Jersey
Spread: Jets by three
Why: There really is no home team in this game since they Jets and Giants share a stadium. This should be a fun game to watch and it's also an extremely important game for both of these teams. If each team wins out, they're likely in the playoffs but if they lose, they're done. Both teams have been up and down all season and it's hard to predict with either of them will do an any given day. The reason I'm picking the Giants to beat the Jets in Week 16 is simple: in the end, I trust Eli Manning more than I trust Mark Sanchez. The Giants take this one.
