Arian Foster has officially been ruled inactive for Sunday's Texans-Colts game as his hamstring injury has not come around yet. John Clayton reported earlier in the week that he believed the injury was a three-to-four week issue rather than a simple week off.
Arian Foster Out: Derrick Ward Starting But Ben Tate Close Second
For this week, Derrick Ward will get the start in Houston and if he gets hot early he could secure the short term starting job. The problem for Ward is that backup Ben Tate is a more talented running back and if Ward does not get hot right away, he could very well losing the starting job even before the end of Sunday against the Colts.
For now if you don’t have a better option, Derrick Ward is likely to get the most carries on Sunday. However, if you’re uncomfortable with Foster potentially being out for several weeks, Ben Tate is the guy you should be looking at for the next few weeks.
