To have a number one quarterback that you can trust every week is a blessing in fantasy football. For those who drafted their quarterback early, now is the time when you sit back and let them roll every week. Or do you? Anybody unlucky enough to choose Peyton Manning early in the draft season might already be scrambling from week to week to hit on hot guys. Some quarterbacks that we expected big things from plummeted in Week 1, and other guys shocked us with over-average numbers. So you never know what will happen, which is why we make the projections each week.
Fantasy Football Week 2 Quarterback Projections: Chad Henne Makes A Jump Up
Week 2 of fantasy football is drawing near, it’s time to project the Top 25 fantasy quarterbacks.

SB Nation’s partner, numberFire.com, asked their giant computer-brain to crunch the numbers and to spit out some player projections for the upcoming week. They have the massive database of numbers, and the algorithms to break it all down, providing you with a statistical projection for Week 2.
Last week, Tom Brady lit up the Dolphins defense, this week he clashes with the Chargers. This game gives us our top-ranked quarterback, and the fourth-ranked one. Philip Rivers is the top choice, given what Chad Henne was able to accomplish against the Patriots defense. But Brady will return fire, so fantasy points could be in abundance.
Chad Henne drops in for a surprising 5th place ranking. He did have good numbers last week, and the Texans secondary last year was a disaster, so the computer likes him. But, the Texans defense crushed the Colts last week, albeit with Kerry Collins and not Peyton Manning. This week, we'll see if Henne becomes a trend, or if the Texans defense becomes a trend.
The trio of Ryan Fitzpatrick, Cam Newton and Matthew Stafford are designated as hot this week, but haven't built up enough cred with the computer just yet for high rankings. If they perform again this week like last week, they'll be moving on up the charts.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
