The Miami Dolphins head into Sunday's showdown with the Houston Texans hoping a strong effort from their rushing attack can negate the mighty Texans passing attack. The Dolphins drafted Daniel Thomas and acquired Reggie Bush in hopes of developing a dual threat that could pack power and speed. However, Thomas has dealt with some injuries which led to Reggie Bush starting this past week against the Patriots.
Dolphins RBs Reggie Bush, Daniel Thomas Looking At 70-30 Split In Carries Says Tony Sparano
We break down the Dolphins running back situation, which could see Reggie Bush and Daniel Thomas splitting carries over the course of the season. For more on the Dolphins, check out The Phinsider. For more on fantasy football, check out Fake Teams.

Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano announced on Thursday that for Sunday’s game Reggie Bush would see the field 70-75% of the time while Thomas would get on the field 25-30% of the time. Bush has never been able to prove he can consistently hand a full load of carries and given how long he has been in the league, I wouldn’t expect it to begin now.
Part of the reason for this split is to let Daniel Thomas get acclimated to the league and the physical nature of the NFL game. The team does not appear entirely comfortable with their running back situation as they brought in several backs for tryouts this week.
For now this situation is one to avoid as possible. Until proven otherwise, neither Bush nor Thomas is worth starting at this point. That’s not to say you should drop either guy, but if you have other starting options at running back, go with that other option.
