Scoring is up in the NFL, and a lot of that is coming through the air. While tight ends and running backs get some of those touchdowns, wide receivers are cashing in around the league in a big way.
Fantasy Football Week 3 Wide Receiver Projections: Dez Bryant At Practice?
A few weeks into the fantasy football season, and we’re starting to get real numbers to use for projections. See who should perform in Week 3.

With that in mind, our partner, numberFire.com, fired up their super computer and used mathematical wizardry to create fantasy projections for Week 3. Some players listed are under injury watch, you can keep up with the status of injuries and general fantasy news here.
Last week, Miles Austin lit up the scoreboard with a huge day that included three touchdowns. Don't look for a repeat performance, Austin has a hamstring injury and is out for this week, and possibly longer.
With the Patriots offense under Tom Brady putting up superb numbers through the air, Wes Welker is a hot play this week versus Buffalo. Last week, we recommended Robert Mecahem on the waiver wire because of injuries to the Saints receivers. He's posted touchdowns in two straight games, and the computer likes him again this week.
Two receivers with injury issues are Stevie Johnson for Buffalo and Dez Bryant for the Cowboys. The media reported that Bryant returned to practice today or at least lined up for drills, a good sign he'll play on Monday night. But the official report had him not practicing on Friday, so his status is unknown. Johnson continues to play through a groin injury and will likely do so again. Both are good plays this week if they stay healthy.
* Fantasy Points Projections are based on the Yahoo! and ESPN default scoring settings. Quarterbacks are scored with 1 point for every 25 passing yards, and 4 points for every touchdown. For running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends, they are scored with 1 point for every 10 total yards, and 6 points for every touchdown. This is a non-PPR projection.
