Have you ever heard of Torrey Smith? Well, you will this week if you're looking at the waiver wire. Smith had a bust-out performance for the Baltimore Ravens in place of an injured Lee Evans. The run-dominant, let-our-defense-win-it Ravens, found a passing attack against the Rams and Torrey Smith was the reason why. He finished with five catches for 152 yards, three touchdowns with two of those over 40 yards. That's quite a day. The downside for Smith is that Evans should return soon, but the Ravens can't ignore a player who puts up those numbers, they'll have to get him on the field and see if he continues to be productive.
Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire: Wide Receivers Are Abundant
A few unknown wide receivers had big days on Sunday and are worth a look on the waiver wire.

Another receiver that has rising value is Nate Washington for the Titans. Kenny Britt tore an ACL on Sunday, so Washington is the likely recipient of targets. Washington was already putting together a solid start to 2011, and yesterday finally found the endzone. He's not a bad option for flex plays and for rosters that had Britt.
The waiver wire this week is full of promising receivers and you can add Victor Cruz from the New York Giants to the list. Cruz played in place of Mario Manningham and made the most of his opportunity with two touchdowns on three receptions for 110 yards. Mannignham should return soon, but like Torrey Smith above, when a player produces, teams find a way to get them on the field. Cruz is still a risky gamble for a fantasy roster spot, but could pay off.
