Drew Brees was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday after passing for four touchdowns in Sunday's win over San Diego and setting an NFL record by throwing a touchdown pass in his 48th straight game. Brees has thrown 14 touchdown passes this season but the New Orleans Saints have just one victory in their first five games. The Saints have a bye in Week 6.
Drew Brees named NFC Offensive Player of the Week after strong fantasy outing
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: Brees has had to do almost everything by himself this season, as the Saints can’t stop anyone on defense. New Orleans has not had much of a running game and Brees has thrown six interceptions, mostly while trying to bring his team from behind. Brees remains an elite fantasy quarterback and he should improve on his early season numbers.
