San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews missed practice for undisclosed reasons on Wednesday, but took ‘mental reps,’ whatever that is supposed to mean. Mathews has missed eight games in his career that is still less than three years old, so you’d rather he never miss practice or hear news about him missing practice even if it weren’t injury related. The back was able to go on Sunday night against the Saints after there was much doubt if he was going to be able to. Mathews had 80 yards rushing, 59 yards receiving, and a touchdown.
Ryan Mathews injury update: Chargers back misses practice, fantasy status in doubt again
Ryan Mathews missed practice but took ‘mental reps’ on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Take: Just stay healthy, man. Mathews has the talent to be one of the best backs in the league, if not the very best, but he has yet to carry the ball 15 times in a game this season. Monitor the situation and list him as a RB1 if he is able to start against the Broncos.
