Ryan Mathews delivers average fantasy performance against Broncos
San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews put together an average performance on Monday Night Football against the Denver Broncos, rushing for 74 yards on 22 carries and adding 19 receiving yards in the loss. We break down the fantasy implications.

However, the entire San Diego offense was out of sync in the second half, failing to score a single point while the Broncos stormed to a 35-24 win on the road.
Fantasy Impact: Ryan Mathews has proven that he is the featured back in San Diego's offense. That being said, his fantasy owners would still probably like to see even less of Jackie Battle and Ronnie Brown. Neither was very involved, however.
The Broncos’ defense isn’t the easiest matchup, so expect Mathews to get things rolling in the coming weeks. He should be a top 10 running back going forward.
