Michael Vick will remain the starting quarterback of the Philadelphia Eagles for the time being, head coach Andy Reid told reporters Tuesday. Reid used the phrase "as I sit here today", suggesting that Vick is indeed on a tight leash with the coaching staff.
Michael Vick to remain Eagles starter, for now: Fantasy implications
Michael Vick will remain the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback for the time being, head coach Andy Reid told reporters Tuesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

Vick had 311 yards passing with two touchdowns and 59 yards rushing against the Detroit Lions last week. He accounted for three turnovers in a yet another close loss, however, prompting calls for rookie Nick Foles to take over under center.
Fantasy Impact: The Eagles are in scorched-earth mode. See: Juan Castillo getting axed as the defensive coordinator Tuesday. Thankfully, the team has a bye this week to cool its jets. Vick owners would be wise to do the same. The beleaguered quarterback still had a solid fantasy day, depending on how heavily your league penalizes turnovers.
Vick hadn’t thrown an interception since Week 2 before throwing two last week. He may not be a reliable weekly fantasy starter anymore, but with the right matchup he can still produce like one of the league’s elite quarterbacks.
