Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson did not practice on Thursday because of an ankle injury. Peterson said the ankle feels more sore than it did last week, but he still plans to play on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.
Adrian Peterson held out of practice, fantasy value solid for Week 7
Adrian Peterson did not practice on Thursday because of an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson hurt the ankle early in Week 5 but has still had 34 carries for 167 yards over the last two games. Peterson said that part of the reason for resting the ankle on Thursday was the fact that Minnesota has a Thursday-night game in Week 8 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Fantasy Impact: This has been a nagging injury, so it makes sense for Peterson to rest ahead of both Sunday and next Thursday. Peterson figures to get another steady workload against Arizona but the Vikings may try and save him if the game allows it.
Peterson is a No. 1 fantasy option at running back this week and will continue to be one as long as he’s healthy.
