Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith is a healthy scratch once again. According to beat writer Tim Twentyman, Smith is officially inactive for Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. Smith got some decent production at the beginning of the season, but has since fallen behind Mikel Leshoure, Joique Bell and Stefan Logan on the depth chart.
Kevin Smith inactive for Monday night, fantasy days are over
Kevin Smith is inactive for MNF as he’s dropped to the bottom of the depth chart. We break down the fantasy implications.

Smith has just 115 rushing yards and two TDs on the season. He hasn’t seen a single touch since Week 2.
Fantasy Impact: There were rumors that the Lions would release Smith if Jahvid Best got cleared to play. That didn't happen, but it's so incredibly obvious that Smith's days with the Lions are over. It would be a mild surprise if he's still on the team in Week 17.
Smith is long removed from his fantasy heyday of 2008, where he got 976 yards and eight TDs. Fantasy owners should keep him on the waiver wire.
