Peyton Hillis returned to practice practice this week for the Kansas City Chiefs for the first time since suffering an ankle injury in Week 3 against the New Orleans Saints, according to the Kansas City Star. There is still no word yet on the running back's status for Week 8 against the Oakland Raiders.
Peyton Hillis returns to Chiefs practice, but fantasy value still uncertain
Peyton Hillis returned to practice this week for the Kansas City Chiefs after sitting several weeks due to an ankle injury. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hillis is averaging 4.4 yards per carry through his appearances in three games this season. He has 93 yards rushing and 33 yards receiving so far, but has yet to score a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: Hillis may still be a long way away from fantasy relevance, even if healthy. Jamaal Charles has been the lone bright spot on a struggling team, and it's unlikely that team will want to veer away from feeding him the ball. Hillis is a good running back, but he can't match Charles' dynamism.
Hold off on rushing to the waiver wires to snatch up Hillis until you actually see him in a game doing something meaningful. His best chance at fantasy relevance appears to be as a goal-line leech.
