The Browns have yet to released a concrete timetable for the running back. If Werder is correct, Richardson would not play again until Nov. 18 when the Browns play the Dallas Cowboys.
Fantasy Impact: The debate within the Browns’ organization is over whether the injury could eventually prove debilitating for the young running back, and ultimately rule him out for the year under continued stress. The Browns and head coach Pat Shurmur are under pressure to win now from the team’s new ownership, however, which could force them to gamble Richardson’s health.
If Richardson does sit, Montario Hardesty would likely start out of the backfield for the Browns. Chris Ogbonnaya would likely see extra touches as well. Hardesty is worth targeting off waivers immediately if available.
