Redskins vs. Steelers: Fantasy football projections featuring Robert Griffin III, Leonard Hankerson, Jonathan Dwyer

We break down the pertinent fantasy projections for the Week 8 matchup between the Washington Redskins and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The 3-4 Washington Redskins travel to Pennsylvania in Week 8 to face the 3-3 Pittsburgh Steelers. The matchup features a host of fantasy weapons, including arguably the most popular fantasy football in football right now. In order to prepare you for fantasy football this week, we've got player projections courtesy of numberFire, even if some players are obvious starts.

Washington Redskins

If you need our advice to start Robert Griffin III, you might be overthinking things. RGIII is officially a must-start as long as he is healthy. And Robert Griffin III is quite healthy right now.

The real questions in Washington surround his wide receivers. Pierre Garcon remains out indefinitely, and last week's loss of Fred Davis stings. Leonard Hankerson remains the best wide receiver option, with Logan Paulsen sitting as a sneaky tight end sleeper. The Redskins brought back Chris Cooley, but Paulsen remains the preferred option if you are desperate for tight end help.

As for Alfred Morris? Somehow he has emerged as the guy in Washington, and it seems like Mike Shanahan is sticking with him (cue dramatic music). The formerly vaunted Steelers defense is not particularly good anymore, which opens the door for another strong performance from Alfred Morris. Start as normal.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The big question mark in Pittsburgh is the running game. Rashard Mendenhall is officially out, while Isaac Redman is listed as questionable and Jonathan Dwyer is probable. While Baron Batch might get a few carries, Dwyer is the guy to start from this group. He is a flex and occasional RB2 option at this point.

The Steelers passing game is where fantasy owners can benefit. The Redskins are struggling against big plays in the passing game, which opens the door for Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown to have some solid games. Those two and Ben Roethlisberger are all great starts in Week 8.
