Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has begun to emerge as a breakout fantasy player for 2012 but was limited on Wednesday with a knee issue. Ponder was limited last week also, but with a neck injury, and then he put up a flat performance against the Detroit Lions. The 3-1 Vikings take on the 1-3 Titans on Sunday and Tennessee is last in points allowed and 27th in passing defense.
Christian Ponder limited in practice but can’t miss enticing week 5 fantasy matchup
Christian Ponder was limited with a knee issue but could he possibly miss week 5? We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Take: Has Ponder stepped up to the point where he can be considered an every week starter? Quarterbacks are expected to put up loads of points in fantasy so it can be a risk to start one that is so far unproven, but it could also be a risk to not start Ponder (781 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT) against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. He’s a decent play in week 5.
