New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez (ankle) made another surprising return to practice Friday. According to Mike Petraglia of WEEI, Hernandez was spotted in practice with both his ankles heavily wrapped in tape. Hernandez hasn't played since spraining his ankle in Week 2.

Fantasy Impact: Hernandez is not expected to suit up against the Denver Broncos on Sunday, but he's still making a much faster recovery than anticipated. Knowing the Patriots, don't be surprised if he's listed as questionable on Friday's injury reports before being ruled out at the last minute Sunday morning. Hernandez has six catches for 59 yards and one TD on the year, and should be considered an elite TE1 when he eventually comes back.
