Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon will not try and play until after the team's bye in Week 10, coach Mike Shanahan said on Wednesday. Garcon has been out in five of the last seven games for the Redskins because of a torn toe ligament in his right foot. Washington plays the Carolina Panthers in Week 9.
Pierre Garcon won’t try and play until after bye week: Fantasy implications
Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon (toe) remains out and won’t try and play until after the team’s bye in Week 10. We break down the fantasy implications.

Garcon did not practice on Wednesday and hasn't played since catching three passes for 24 yards in a Week 5 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Garcon hurt the foot in Week 1, when he scored his only receiving touchdown of the season on an 88-yard pass from Robert Griffin III.
Fantasy Impact: This isn’t a surprise for fantasy owners, who have become used to not having Garcon in their lineups. Garcon will continue to rest his injured foot but there is no guarantee he will be ready in Week 11.
Garcon should remain stashed on benches until it’s determined if he will play again this season.
