Peyton Manning was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month on Thursday, according to the Denver Post. Manning led or tied or the conference lead in yards, completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdowns, passes 25 yards or longer and passer rating for the month of October, according to the NFL.

For the month (which included a Week 7 bye) Manning went 77-for-104 passing for 951 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception. On the year, he has 2,113 yards passing and 17 touchdowns to just four interceptions (three which came in the first quarter of Week 2). Manning has thrown exactly three touchdown passes in four consecutive games.
Fantasy Impact: The numbers are eye-popping, no matter how you slice at them. Manning is playing like a legitimate MVP candidate coming off a neck injury that many thought would force him to retire. While there are plenty of other players vying for MVP, Manning almost certainly has Comeback Player of the Year locked up at this point.
Manning continues to be a strong fantasy option, as well. He has now passed for over 300 yards in five straight games, and has thrown no fewer than two touchdown passes over that span. Keep him in your lineup, especially this week as the Denver Broncos take on the Cincinnati Bengals.
