Philip Rivers was 11-for-11 on pass attempts at one point in the first half of Thursday night's game. Unfortunately, an interception in the end zone in the closing seconds of the first half put a damper on his impressive start.
Philip Rivers strong fantasy first half ends on sour note
Philip Rivers threw an interception in the end zone to close out the first half. We break down the fantasy implications.
Rivers headed into the locker room with 179 yards, one touchdown and one pick. He’s throwing the ball well, but turnovers continue to haunt him.
Fantasy Impact: The Chiefs secondary was ripped apart by Rivers in the first half. He completed any throw he wanted to make, and Eric Berry's late interception was really the only highlight for Kansas City's defense.
With the game still up for grabs, expect Rivers to continue throwing often in the second half. His fantasy numbers should improve unless he keeps finding ways to turn the ball over.
