San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews could have had a better day for his team in Week 10. Against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Mathews carried 17 times for only 59 yards. On top of that, he had five receptions for 22 yards. And regardless of his 22 total touches, Mathews failed to break 100 all-purpose yards or score a TD.
Ryan Mathews struggles versus Bucs in Week 10: Fantasy Implications
San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews had a decent outing in Week 10. We breakdown the fantasy implications.

The Chargers are a bit of a mess, and Mathews has been not been the first round talent folks were expecting him to be. And his numbers were not pretty in this past week’s loss.
Fantasy Analysis: A lot of preseason predictions had Mathews pegged for a breakout year, but that is yet to happen. Since he’s entered the league, there has been inconsistency in his game, overshadowed by injury and poor overall team performance. For those who got stuck drafting Mathews in 2012, you’d have a tough time trading him right now.
In PPR leagues, his five receptions really helped this past week. But in a lot of leagues, there are less glamorous backups -- like Giants' Andre Brown -- who could do the work of Ryan Mathews. If you're trying to make a postseason push, it's time to get creative finding alternatives to Mathews.
