Ben Roethlisberger may have suffered a serious shoulder injury during the Steelers’ win over the Chiefs on Monday night. Big Ben is reportedly “hurting pretty bad.” We break down the fantasy implications.

Ben Roethlisberger may have have suffered a significant right shoulder injury on Monday night, one that "could take a while to heal" according to a report from ESPN's Ed Werder. A source close to the Pittsburgh Steelers said that Roethlisberger was "extremly sore" Tuesday morning and "hurting pretty bad."
Roethlisberger will undergo a second MRI that will hopefully shed more light on the quarterback's short and long-term playing prospects. He was taken to the hospital directly from the stadium after getting sandwiched between two Kansas City Chiefs defenders during the third quarter of Monday night's win.
Fantasy Impact: Roethlisberger has proven time and again that he is a tough character, and has a reputation for bouncing back from injuries quickly. This time appears to be different, however, as an injury to his throwing shoulder may mean he cannot physically cannot complete a pass.
Nothing is official until we hear something from the Steelers' themselves, but at this point you should expect Roethlisberger to sit this week when the Steelers take on the Baltimore Ravens. Byron Leftwich will likely start. He went 7-for-14 passing for 74 yards in windy, rainy conditions after Roethlisberger left the game.
