Rashard Mendenhall will start Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, if fellow Pittsburgh Steelers running back and teammate Isaac Redman is to be believed. Mike Tomlin and Co. have repeatedly said that Mendenhall would be the team's starter once he is healthy. Redman confirmed the news with Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Thursday.

Mendenhall has been on the sidelines since Week 6 due to an Achilles’ injury. He has appeared in just two games this season. On the year, Mendenhall has 19 carries for 74 yards, and four receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown.
Fantasy Impact: After a long layoff, if it's tough to know exactly what kind of workload Mendenhall will be given. Expect to see Jonathan Dwyer and Redman handle the ball as well, though the implication throughout the recovery has been that Mendenhall is the team's feature back. Period.
The Ravens' defense suffered some big losses earlier this season, but appears to have been shored up in recent weeks. Running room could be especially tight this week with no Ben Roethlisberger to help keep defenses honest. You might be better off waiting another week before moving Mendenhall back into your starting lineup.
