New England Patriots WR Wes Welker (ankle) is expected to be active and play against the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, reports Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe. Welker sat out of practice Wednesday and Thursday, but returned to a full session Friday and there was never any serious doubt about him suiting up this week.
Wes Welker to be active Sunday: Fantasy implications
Wes Welker will be active and ready to go against the Colts. We break down the fantasy implications.

Welker is his usual Welker self this season, with 66 catches for 810 yards and two TDs.
Fantasy Impact: Given Belichick’s outward disdain for injury reports, it’s likely that he was just resting Welker and there was never any serious injury concern.
Fantasy owners can rest easy knowing that he will play. Lock him in as a WR1 like you normally would.
