Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has declined to name a starter at running back for Sunday's game against the Cleveland Browns, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Jonathan Dwyer and Rashard Mendenhall split carries during last week's loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Dwyer had 12 carries for 55 yards, while Mendenhall pitched in 11 carries for 33 yards.

Isaac Redman was slated to see more touches, but a concussion limited him to just one carry for five yards. He is expected to chip in with the timeshare if healthy, according to Tomlin.
Fantasy Impact: The Steelers’ running back situation has been as clear as mud since training camp, and will likely finish the season that way at this rate. The coaching staff had indicated in weeks prior that Mendenhall would be the Steelers’ starter if healthy, but negated their words with last week’s marginally effective timeshare.
If you need to own a Steelers running back, Mendenhall seems like the most likely to take on a feature role at some point. For now, however, no one slated to play in the backfield is worth starting consideration in standard fantasy leagues except out of desperation.
