Fred Jackson has been medically cleared to play for the Buffalo Bills after passing his concussion protocol on Tuesday, according to the Bills' official site. C.J. Spiller will start at running back against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, however, according to head coach Chan Gailey.
C.J. Spiller to start over Fred Jackson: Fantasy implications
C.J. Spiller will start at running back for the Bills over Fred Jackson on Sunday against the Colts, according to head coach Chan Gailey. We break down the fantasy implications.

“C.J. will start, but we’re still going to play Fred,” said Gailey. “It takes two. It does. So Fred will get quite a few snaps, but C.J. will start and get the majority of the snaps.”
Fantasy Impact: Frustrated Spiller owners will finally get their way with the talented scatback finally taking the lion’s share of touches out of the Bills’ backfield. He has arguably been the best running back in the NFL this season, and is worth your consideration as an RB1 going up against a Colts defense giving up 4.7 yards per carry on the year.
Jackson could still be worth some Flex consideration, but if he isn’t in a true timeshare then he becomes a risky play in any fantasy format.
