New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees already has plenty to do leading his team's offense, but his importance will likely increase even more on Monday as the Saints will be without running back Darren Sproles against the Philadelphia Eagles. Sproles recently had hand surgery and is expected to miss several games.
Drew Brees to carry heavy load for Saints, fantasy owners
New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees will likely have to do more than usual on Monday without running back Darren Sproles. We break down the fantasy implications.

Sproles is a key weapon out of the backfield for New Orleans, which has had to score lots of points this season to make up for its defense that has allowed at least 24 points in every game this season. Coach Joe Vitt said this week that he remains confident in large part because he has Brees, who Vitt said would be “the best prepared player when he takes the field.”
Fantasy Impact: Brees continues to be the key for the Saints, who have had to play without other important offensive players this season. Fantasy owners are likely counting on a big night from Brees, who will likely do more passing down the field without Sproles.
Pierre Thomas will likely get most of the work at running back but Brees and his receivers would seem to be the better fantasy bets against the Eagles.
