Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will almost certainly eclipse his rushing total for the entire 2011 season in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. In 12 games last season, Peterson finished with 970 yards before suffering a major knee injury on Dec. 24 against the Washington Redskins. Peterson needs just 14 yards on Sunday against Detroit to surpass that total in 10 games this season.
Adrian Peterson set to eclipse 2011 rushing totals: Fantasy implications
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is close to passing his rushing total from the entire 2011 season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Peterson ran for 182 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He has run for 458 yards in the last three weeks for the Vikings.
Fantasy Impact: Peterson has returned as to being one of the top running backs in the NFL this season, less than a year after what appeared to be a devastating injury. The Vikings seemed to be hesitant to turn him loose early in the season but have given him plenty of chances in recent weeks.
Fantasy owners who took a risk on Peterson on draft day continue to be rewarded. He is a No. 1 fantasy running back in all formats.
