Aaron Hernandez misses practice Tuesday due to birth of baby: Fantasy implications
Aaron Hernandez missed Patriots practice Tuesday due to the birth of his first son. It is unclear whether his lingering ankle injury would have allowed him to practice, regardless. We break down the fantasy implications.

Hernandez sat out the Pats' Week 8 contest in London against the St. Louis Rams due to a lingering ankle injury that also held him out of last Thursday's bye week practice. It is unclear whether or not he would have practiced Tuesday if not for extenuating circumstances.
Fantasy Impact: Congrats are in order for the 23-year-old tight end and father. It’s nice to have a more celebratory reason to miss practice for once. Fantasy owners will have to wait until Wednesday, Thursday and Friday injury reports are released to find out how much Hernandez’ ankle has improved.
If healthy, Hernandez is a solid TE1 in standard fantasy football formats. Consider him a tier below the elite options like Jimmy Graham and teammate Rob Gronkowski. Hernandez was targeted 16 times in his initial two-game return in Weeks 6 and 7, and had 11 catches for 84 yards and a touchdown over that span.
