New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday but his status for Sunday's game against the Bills is still unknown. Hernandez has made just four starts this year and caught just 17 passes for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

Fantasy Take: It’s been a frustrating year for fantasy owners, and I’m sure a frustrating year for Hernandez. The injury has really set him back, but perhaps he’ll be a jolt during the fantasy playoffs.
The Bills have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, but surprisingly Football Outsiders ranks them 3rd against tight ends. However, once the Patriots get into the red zone (which should be easy) Hernandez becomes a big target.
