On the opening night of the NFL season, New York Giants rookie running back David Wilson lost a fumble against the Dallas Cowboys. Tom Coughlin did not approve, and Wilson ended up in the doghouse.
Fantasy football waiver-wire advice, Week 15: Running backs to target for the fantasy playoffs
Is David Wilson a potential solution to your running back issues?

Fast forward to Week 14. With the Giants taking on the Saints, and Ahmad Bradshaw not at 100-percent, Wilson got his biggest workload of the season. This time, the rookie did not disappoint, rushing for 100 yards on 13 times and scoring a pair of touchdowns. He added a return to touchdown to put an exclamation point on his coming out party.
Wilson is among the best options on the waiver wire for those fantasy owners still plowing through the playoffs. Check out the best running back waiver-wire options below.
1. David WIlson, New York Giants
Wilson’s opportunities are growing in the Giants’ offense. With his speed, Wilson could be a dangerous weapon behind New York’s talented offensive line. He has to be added in all leagues, especially given Bradshaw’s injury history.
2. Montell Owens, Jacksonville Jaguars
I suggested Montell Harris in this column a week ago, and he ran for 91 yards and a touchdowns against the Jets. He's not in a great situation in Jacksonville, but he's getting the ball a lot and running surprisingly well. He's worth a look in 12 team leagues.
Just a few months ago, DuJuan Harris was selling cars. Now, he's on my list of best waiver wire pickups. Harris was running with a purpose in Green Bay's Sunday night victory over the Lions, and you have to figure he'll be more involved going forward. He's in a timeshare situation, but he's running as well as any Packers back.
