Pierre Garcon caused a stir Tuesday. In a SportsCenter interview with Bram Weinstein, Garcon may have accidentally revealed that Robert Griffin III sit out Week 15 for the Washington Redskins, and that Kirk Cousins is set to start against the Cleveland Browns.
Robert Griffin III fantasy status unclear, thanks to Pierre Garcon
Pierre Garcon caused a bit of a stir when, in a SportsCenter interview Tuesday, he may have accidentally revealed that Kirk Cousins will start in place of the injured Robert Griffin III for the Redskins this weekend. We break down the fantasy implications.

“Now we have a little bit tougher task; we have Kirk (Cousins) starting,” Garcon said during a SportsCenter appearance on ESPN. “We have to play well around Kirk so Kirk doesn’t feel like he has to try to save the team. We have to help him to be as comfortable as possible.”
Fantasy Impact: Several team sources have already come out and refuted Garcon’s slip of the tongue. Mike Shanahan was adamant Monday that Griffin has yet to be ruled out, as well. We’ll see what happens. At this point, it’s impossible to tell whether Garcon really knows anything or if he simply had a brain fart.
Cousins played well in his very limited action against the Baltimore Ravens last week, though it's hard to extrapolate fantasy prospects from two pass attempts. The matchup is technically a good one this week, but starting Cousins is probably too big a risk for most owners currently in the midst of their fantasy playoff runs.
