Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden (ankle) was a full participant in Wednesday practice, showing no setbacks from a high ankle sprain that cost him four games this season. McFadden returned to the field on Sunday, rushing for 52 yards on eleven carries.
Darren Mcfadden injury: Full practice is encouraging, but what happened to the fantasy value?
Injury hasn’t been McFadden’s only problem this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

The Raiders play the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 15.
Fantasy Take: Injury or no injury, when is McFadden going to start performing like expected, if ever? McFadden was a high draft pick this season with expectations that if healthy he could maintain his high YPC average from 2010-2011 (5.3 YPC) but he has regressed back to his first two seasons when was a part-time back averaging only 3.9 yards per carry.
McFadden has averaged under three yards-per-carry in six of nine games this season and much of his value came on one 64-yard run early in the season. Other than that, he’s played much more like a RB2/Flex player with injury risk. If he can’t perform against the Chiefs, it might be time for Oakland to find a new running back of the future.
