Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick was cleared by a league-certified neurologist this week, the final step of the NFL's concussion protocol, but will not start against the Bengals on Thursday. Nick Foles will remain in that position for at least one more game.
Michael Vick concussion: Cleared by doctors, still will not play Thursday
Though he may be done with the NFL concussion protocol, Vick will not return this week. We break down the fantasy implications.

Vick has missed the last four games with the head injury as he was working through the process of getting cleared to play again. Foles has started every game since and has completed 61.4% of his passes for 1,174 yards, 4 TD and 3 INT. Vick has completed 58.5% of his passes this season for 2,165 yards, 11 TD and 9 INT in nine games as the Eagles have tumbled to a 4-9 record under head coach Andy Reid.
Fantasy Take: It seems like the best move for the Eagles right now is to move forward with Foles and release Vick after the Super Bowl, as they would not owe him any money after that. Foles picked up his first career win on Sunday against the Buccaneers, throwing for 381 yards, 2 TD and 0 INT.
It might also be best for Reid to show that he’s willing to go with the rookie and develop him to buy more time and keep his job as head coach. If released, Vick could always seek out opportunity in cities in need of help at the position, like Arizona and Kansas City, just to cite a couple of examples.
