If you're still reading this, then I can only assume you actually still care about your fantasy football team. If you still care about your fantasy team, chances are you're in the middle of a playoff run. Congratulations! You are probably pretty happy with your starting quarterback — but then again, you could be a Ben Roethlisberger or Michael Vick owner now taking a by-committee approach to the position. Barring that, perhaps you're leery about tough matchups for Tom Brady (vs. HOU), Drew Brees (at NYG), Cam Newton (vs. ATL) and Philip Rivers (at PIT).
Fantasy Football waiver advice, Week 14: Quarterbacks available for your playoff run
The fantasy season is coming to a close, and if you’re still reading this, then hopefully you are still in the hunt for a championship. Potential gems at quarterback abound on waivers this week, including Russell Wilson, Jay Cutler and Colin Kaepernick.

Whatever your reasons, there are still plenty of excellent quarterbacks likely available in your fantasy league. As usual, the following five QBs, ranked from worst to first, are owned in 60 percent or less of Yahoo! leagues.
5. Sam Bradford -- Own percent: 21%, Season: 236-for-388 passing, 2,668 yards, 14 TDs, 9 INTs
Bradford had thrown two touchdown passes in three straight games before running into the San Francisco 49ers last week. He was shut out of the end zone, but still managed 221 yards passing. On paper, he should have an easier time against the Buffalo Bills' secondary. That assumes the weather holds out, which is not a guarantee late in the season at Ralph Wilson Stadium. If Sunday morning comes and you are totally desperate, Bradford could be a safe, steady option to plug into your lineup. Otherwise, your regular starter is likely a better play.
4. Brandon Weeden -- Own percent: 12%, Season: 247-for-433 passing, 2,820 yards, 13 TDs, 15 INTs
Let me be upfront: Weeden has been a mediocre fantasy option AT BEST this season. You can see the numbers for yourself. That said, he has what has been among the best fantasy matchups for opposing quarterbacks this season, taking on the Kansas City Chiefs in Cleveland. As with Bradford, weather could be an issue for Weeden. If the skies are clear, he'll be unhindered while taking on a secondary that has given up a league-high 25 passing touchdowns with just seven interceptions on the year. The Browns' receiving corps came alive last week, making Weeden a potentially big sleeper.
3. Russell Wilson -- Own percent: 23%, Season: 201-for-317 passing, 2,344 yards, 19 TDs, 8 INTs
Wilson's matchup against the Arizona Cardinals is an awful one on paper. Then again, so was the matchup against the Chicago Bears last week, and Wilson went 23-for-37 for 293 yards and two touchdowns in a road win. There is no doubting that the rookie is something special at this point. If you're in a keeper league and Wilson is somehow available, snatch him up as quick as you can. As for this week, he could certainly be serviceable despite facing an excellent secondary. No one could blame you for sitting him, but he has a high ceiling nonetheless.
2. Jay Cutler -- Own percent: 53%, Season: 191-for-312 passing, 2,235 yards, 15 TDs, 11 INTs
Cutler will be playing the Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota this week, and has a nice matchup against a secondary that has given up 19 passing touchdowns with just seven interceptions this season. Brandon Marshall looked unstoppable last week against the Seattle Seahawks, making up for a dinged-up receiving corps and offensive line. If you need a stop-gap, Cutler could do very nicely.
1. Colin Kaepernick -- Own percent: 53% Season: 69-for-106 passing, 1,186 total yards (298 rushing), 7 total TDs (4 rushing), 1 INT
The problem with everyone else on this list is that they are devoid of any real upside. Kaepernick, on the other hand, could legitimately end up being one of the highest-scoring fantasy quarterbacks in the league this week. Yeah, he was held without a touchdown last week after accounting for four over his previous two outings. He was also taking on a well-rounded St. Louis Rams defense. The Miami Dolphins are strong against the run, but they have been vulnerable against the pass, giving up 258 yards per game, along with 15 passing touchdowns to nine interceptions. Kaepernick is a true dual-threat, and the fact that rushing yards and touchdowns are worth more in a lot of fantasy leagues is a nice bonus.
