Todd Heap released by Cardinals, according to reports: Fantasy implications
Todd Heap has been released by the Arizona Cardinals, according to reports. We break down the fantasy implications.

Heap was initially sidelined due to knee concerns, but may have been a healthy scratch in recent weeks. Rob Housler has taken ownership of the Cardinals' starting tight end spot, with 36 receptions for 368 yards this season.
Fantasy Impact: Heap’s days in the NFL may be numbered. The 12-year veteran certainly has had a good run, but he may not have the legs to contribute anymore in a league suddenly flush with talented, young pass-catching tight ends.
As for Housler, his fantasy prospects are limited by a struggling Cardinals offense helmed by rookie Ryan Lindley at quarterback. He has yet to catch a touchdown this season, and has to be considered a backup at best in fantasy leagues that require one starting tight end.
