Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb (ribs) is not rehabbing as fast as he'd hoped, and he gave some details to the team website as to why. Kolb's broken ribs were so severe they detached from the sternum, and as a result the cartilage muscle closed up right over it, not allowing the bones to heal like normal cracked ribs.
Kevin Kolb’s ribs not healing correctly: Fantasy implications
Kevin Kolb’s gruesome rib injury is not healing as fast as he had hoped, and he’s not likely to return this season. We break down the fantasy implications.

Kolb hasn’t played since suffering the injury back in Week 6.
Fantasy Impact: Apologies for the gory details, but it’s a very unusual injury that may require more surgery, from the sounds of it. Kolb says “it’s not an ideal situation”, which may be the understatement of the season. He’s not likely to come back this season.
With Kolb still out indefinitely, the Cardinals' QB spot has been a revolving door. John Skelton will get the start this week after Ryan Lindley was thrown to the wolves. Neither of them are fantasy options.
