Ed Reed suffered only a "minor" hamstring injury during Monday night's game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Cincinnati Bengals, the safety told the Baltimore Sun. Reed left the game in the third quarter immediately after recording a pick-six and setting the NFL record for career interception return yardage. He returned to the sideline at the beginning of the fourth quarter but did not re-enter the game with the Ravens holding a comfortable lead.

“It strained my hamstring trying to dive,” Reed said. “You know I’m 34 in two hours. Father Time does catch up with you. It’s good, it’s good. It’s minor.”
Analysis: It’s tough to tell whether Reed did not return to the game because the Ravens held an insurmountable lead, or because the veteran safety was unable. Reed remained dressed on the sideline, however, albeit with his helmet off. The best guess is that he will be fine going forward, though you would be wise to follow up with injury reports in the coming days if you own the future hall-of-famer in fantasy IDP leagues.
