Donnie Avery had a big day in fantasy football on Sunday, catching nine passes for 111 yards as the Indianapolis Colts beat the Minnesota Vikings. Avery became the Colts' No. 2 wide receiver on the depth chart after Austin Collie was ruled out before game time due to lingering concussion symptoms. Avery was targeted 10 times on the night, the most of any Colts pass catcher.
Donnie Avery Emerges With Big Fantasy Day
Donnie Avery caught nine passes for 111 yards during Sunday’s game between the Colts and Vikings. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy Impact: With Collie potentially set to miss significant time, Avery could enjoy a nice fantasy renaissance with Andrew Luck throwing him the ball. Sunday's game was certainly encouraging, though it should be said that Avery was the Colts' No. 2 receiver last week as well and had just three catches for 37 yards, albeit with a touchdown. Avery could be one of the bigger names on waivers this week, but bear in mind that there will be tougher matchups down the road.
