Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson was a diamond in the rough during a sloppy matchup between the Packers and Ravens on Sunday, as both offenses struggled.
Jordy Nelson gives fantasy owners another big game with 113 yards and a touchdown
In a game where the Packers watched James Jones and Randall Cobb have early exits due to injuries, Jordy Nelson thrived in their absences. We break down the fantasy implications.

Nelson led the Packers in every major receiving category with four catches, 113 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets. The Ravens keyed in on Nelson for most of the game since early injuries to Randall Cobb and James Jones depleted the Packers receiving corps. Nelson's biggest play of the game came in the fourth quarter when he got behind Lardarius Webb and corralled a 64-yard touchdown pass to give the Packers a commanding 16-3 lead late in the game.
Fantasy Spin: Depending on the severity of the injuries to Cobb and Jones, Nelson could find himself monopolizing Aaron Rodgers targets in the next coming weeks. That's not necessarily a good thing, though, as Nelson has benefited plenty from having his receiving counterparts draw attention away from him.
Should Cobb and Jones remain off the field next week, that could spell trouble for Nelson, who would draw a difficult matchup versus Joe Haden and the Cleveland Browns. It's in Nelson's best interest to not draw Haden in coverage as often as possible, and if Cobb and Jones remain out, Haden shadowing Nelson is a possible scenario. Injuries or not, Nelson should be started as a WR2 in all formats.
