Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin carried the ball 16 times and rushed for 67 yards while catching four passes for 24 yards out of the backfield in a 31-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. He averaged 4.2 yards per carry in the game.

Fantasy impact: Although Martin hasn't exactly been living up to the top five ranking he commanded in fantasy drafts, he is still getting a lot of touches in the Buccaneers offense. Perhaps the most encouraging sign from Sunday's loss is that quarterback Mike Glennon didn't appear to hamper the team and at least kept them in the game.
That said, there is no doubt that moving forward Martin will get the ball a lot for Tampa as they are not exactly going to blow people away with the passing game. That means fantasy owners will be guaranteed steady production out of the sophomore, but again because they have a mediocre offense in general, Martin may not have some of the big days he had in 2012.
Going into Week 7, the Buccaneers face an Atlanta Falcons team that has been decimated by injuries this year and is severely underachieving. Last week, the New York Jets' Bilal Powell managed just 38 yards on 12 carries against the Falcons. Martin has 192 rushing yards in just two career games against the Flacons.
