Chargers running back Danny Woodhead turned-in a modest stat sheet on Monday night, but played an integral role in handing the Colts a 19-9 loss.
Danny Woodhead continues to provide value for fantasy owners in PPR leagues with 5 catches vs. Colts
The Chargers got another steady performance from their pass-catching weapon out of the backfield on Monday night versus the Colts. We break down the fantasy implications.

Woodhead resumed his duties as the Chargers back in passing situations, and in addition to protecting Philip Rivers, he caught all five of his targets for 47 yards. Woodhead also proved his effectiveness in the running game, adding 36 yards on nine carries and moving the chains throughout the game.
Fantasy Spin: Woodhead entered the game on pace for over 1,046 total yards and a ridiculous total of 99 catches. Now, he is on pace for 96 catches and 1,093 total yards. That's a total that fantasy owners in PPR leagues will gladly take from a player who was, at best, a late-round flier during drafts. His 36 catches leads all running backs, which is a trend that does not seem likely to end, even with reliable receiving weapons such as Keenan Allen and Antonio Gates in the huddle. Fantasy owners in PPR leagues can keep Woodhead inked into the lineup for the foreseeable future, and the shifty scat-back could be in line for a big game versus the Jaguars in Week 7.
