Green Bay Packers wide receiver James Jones left the team’s Week 6 game against the Baltimore Ravens with a sprained knee. Jones caught the only pass thrown his way in in the game for a 10-yard gain.
James Jones an uncertain fantasy play in Week 7
The Packers wide receiver is dealing with knee issues that may see him miss the team’s game against the Browns. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Jones left the game against the Ravens in the first half, so seeing him catch just one pass shouldn’t be too concerning for fantasy owners. He’s a big, athletic target who filled in very well for former teammate Greg Jennings (now with the Vikings) last season when Jennings was sidelined with multiple injuries.
Jones has 20 catches for 349 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season and is pretty much the Packers’ 1A receiver right next to Jordy Nelson. His knee sprain doesn’t sound serious and you can bet he wants to play, so stay posted to injury reports for the latest.
In Week 7, the Packers face a Cleveland Browns defense known for its tough secondary. The Browns have an improved record this year as well, so its not as if a win is a given for the Packers. Should Jones not be able to play, undrafted receiver Jarrett Boykin will lineup opposite Mr. Nelson. In all likelihood, Jones will be a game-time decision so his fantasy owners should stay posted for the latest.
