New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola was not at team practice on Wednesday, according to Mike Reiss of ESPN. Amendola seemed to suffer a severe concussion against the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. The chances of him practicing on Wednesday were somewhere between zero and 0.01 percent.
Danny Amendola injury: Patriots WR misses practice, seems unlikely for fantasy in Week 7
New England Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola missed practice on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

The NFL has stringent procedures regarding the handling of concussions these days, so Amendola will have to receive medical clearance for practice, physical contact and game participation after a battery of tests throughout the week. It’s unclear what tests he’s undergone to this point, but just looking at the play brings doubt as to whether or not he’ll even be ready to play this week.
Amendola seemed to lose consciousness after the hit. He has a history of concussion as well, though his last was in 2009. He’s not exactly concussion-prone to go along with his injury-prone status, but it looked serious enough and it would be surprising to see him as a candidate to play this week.
Fantasy Impact: Amendola has already missed significant time due to a groin injury this season. Further missed time will mean quarterback Tom Brady once again has to rely on Julian Edelman, Aaron Dobson and Kenbrell Thompkins. Brady fantasy owners will survive, but if you have been depending on Amendola whatsoever, you are not a happy camper this season.
