The New York Giants have signed running back Peyton Hillis, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. New York is seriously hurting for running back help, and Hillis is ever-looking for a shot at redemption after a poor couple years bouncing around the NFL.
Giants signing Peyton Hillis, fantasy value extremely low
The New York Giants signed Peyton Hillis on Wednesday. We break down the fantasy implications.

David Wilson is out with a neck injury, Da'Rel Scott was waived/injured, Andre Brown is on the PUP list and now Brandon Jacobs is dealing with a nagging hamstring injury. After that, the Giants have Michael Cox and then ... that's it. Jacobs seems likely to play and start, but he is way past his prime.
Hillis had a fantastic season in 2010, rushing for 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Cleveland Browns, but he's since played for the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and failed to catch on with both teams. He hasn't looked anywhere near his 2010 form, but who knows what another chance will bring?
Fantasy Impact: Owners in need of running back help shouldn’t be looking to Hillis, let alone Jacobs or any New York running back, for said help. It’s just a messy situation that’s not likely to get better with Hillis. If he happens to have a huge week then sure, submit a waiver claim for him or do whatever it is you need to do, but it’s hard to even recommend picking him up just in case at this point.
