New York Jets wide receiver Santonio Holmes (hamstring) did not practice with the team on Wednesday, according to ESPN's Rich Cimini. Its highly unlikely he will be ready to play when the Jets face the New England Patriots in Week 7.
Santonio Holmes still not practicing, unlikely for fantasy owners
The Jets receiver only did light jogging on the side at Wednesday’s practice. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: The original timeline for Holmes’ return was diagnosed as being at least 2-3 weeks away, so his absence from practice and probably this week’s game shouldn’t be a surprise to his fantasy owners.
For what it's worth, Holmes has never turned into the type fantasy star that the Jets thought they were getting when they traded for the former Super Bowl MVP. That said, the Jets have run a generally conservative offense during head coach Rex Ryan's tenure and have only now found a quarterback in Geno Smith that just might be a future star.
In four games so far this year, Holmes has just 10 catches for 243 and a touchdown. He's been replaced in the lineup by the likes of Jeremy Kerley, who also handles the team's kick return duties. Overall, the Jets have quite a revolving door going at receiver with injuries to David Nelson and Stephen Hill really leaving the team thin at the position.
In Week 7, the Jets face a New England Patriots secondary that has given up the second fewest fantasy points to wide receivers this year.
