Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub (ankle) did not practice with the team on Wednesday, according to a report by the Houston Chronicle's John McClain. He is currently listed as doubtful for the team's Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Matt Schaub misses practice Wednesday, unlikely fantasy play
The Texans quarterback missed practice on Wednesday in favor of treatment. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: Back-up quarterbacks T.J. Yates and Case Keenum split snaps evenly at practice and it's likely one of the two will start over Schaub, with the slight edge on the depth chart going to Yates.
Although he’s averaging 258.7 yards per game this season, which is the second highest of his career, Schaub has fallen on hard times this year. After throwing just 12 interceptions all of last season, Schaub already has nine this season and is apparently falling out of favor.
Going back a week, coach Gary Kubiak stated point blank that the decision to start Schaub over Yates after Schaub's shaky performance against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 5 was a tough one. Perhaps injuries to star receiver Andre Johnson and reliable tight-end Owen Daniels have bought Schaub more time as the team's starter as the his receiving corps hasn't been at full strength this year.
That said, Schaub is not really a reliable fantasy starter and could be just one bad appearance away from being benched. Coach Kubiak said Wednesday that a decision on who would start at quarterback against the Chiefs would come late in the week, so fantasy owners should stay posted.
