Tennessee Titans quarterback (hip, knee) resumed football activities at practice on Wednesday, but is not expected to play in the team's Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers, according to a report by the Tennessean's Jim Wyatt. Locker is averaging 180.6 passing yards per game this season to go with six touchdown passes.
Jake Locker practices, still weeks from fantasy starts
The Titans quarterback is starting to throw the football and doing some light jogging. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fantasy impact: After throwing for less than 150 yards in the first two weeks of the season, Locker seemed to be turning the corner in the last two games, throwing for 299 yards in Week 3 and three touchdown passes in Week 4.
He’s a young, up-and-coming quarterback with a strong arm and the general consensus around the NFL is that he can be a solid NFL starter for years to come. Teammate Ryan Fitzpatrick has done a decent job giving the Titans a chance to win against tough defenses while filling in for Locker, but he’s not really a threat to steal playing time once Locker is back.
Although it’s good to see Locker back at practice, it should be noted that his workout was rather casual and he’s still got a heavy limp in his stride. The fact he was wearing a knee brace to top it off means it is highly unlikely the young pivot will be back before the team’s Week 8 bye. In the meantime, fantasy owners should look outside of Tennessee for a quarterback as Fitzpatrick is hardly the answer, even in deeper leagues.
